Collaroy Plateau Community Kindergarten’s Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) has now been reviewed by Reconciliation Australia and is published below.
A summary of our RAP, including our Vision for Reconciliation and the RAP Actions that Collaroy Plateau Community Kindergarten has committed to are included within our plan.
We proudly utilise our RAP to guide our principles, practices and perceptions in regard to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture with contemporary and traditional concepts in mind.
Equity, Unity and historical Acceptance form a large part of how we reflect on our teaching and inclusion of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives at our Preschool.

CPCK Reconciliation Action Plan:
Collaroy Plateau Community Kindergarten acknowledges that we are located on the land of the First Nations people, possibly the Gayamaygal clan. But because the people from this area were displaced and their culture hidden, their history has been lost.
We sincerely pay our respects to past, present and future elders and ancestors of the Gayamygal and continue to share our sorrow about such painful history and we pledge to stand together with respect and the common goal of protecting the land and all of her inhabitants.
