Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood
My name is Alex and I have been a local on the Northern Beaches all of my life. I have almost 20 years experience working with children across a variety of early education and care settings. For the majority of my teaching career I have worked in community based preschools, up until I took a break to have my own children in 2015. I am excited to be teaching again and I was lucky enough to become a part of the CPCK team in 2022.
I am passionate about working alongside children to support their discoveries, explorations and play as well as to continuously learn from them. I believe it is important to form reciprocal relationships with families so we can celebrate children’s interests and achievements together. I like to play the guitar and I have a particular interest in nature, art and music, both personally and through my teaching as a way to connect, learn and have fun with children. When I’m not working, I like to spend time with my family, at the beach, bush walking and camping.

Collaroy Plateau Community Kindergarten acknowledges that we are located on the land of the First Nations people, possibly the Gayamaygal clan. But because the people from this area were displaced and their culture hidden, their history has been lost.
