Diploma in Children’s Services for centre based care

Certified Supervisor

I have been at CPCK since 2006. The best thing about working with children (which I happen to think is the best job in the whole world) is that I get to marvel with them in their small and large discoveries, support them through their challenges and celebrate with them in their achievements.

When I see whole families come through the Kindy and I am lucky enough to teach all the siblings I feel a great sense of privilege, responsibility and pride.

My personal teaching philosophy is that early childhood should be full of mystery, magic

and many opportunities for mastery.

My favourite things are ladybugs, snails, bugs, lots of mud, climbing trees, the creative

arts, music and all creatures great and small.

When Iʼm not at Kindy I like to run in Obstacle races (through mud of course), read, draw,

write, play the guitar and piano and look after my 4 pets and my lovely family.

Collaroy Plateau Community Kindergarten recognises the importance of acknowledging the history of the Indigenous Australians who belong to the Guringai language group who lived and are living in the Warringah area.

We acknowledge and respect the values and customs of the traditional owners of this land. We pay our respects to elders past, present and future for they hold the memories, traditions, culture and hope of Indigenous Australians. Aboriginal people have lived here for thousands of years, raising and teaching their children. We extend our hand in friendship as we walk together on this land.
